Aurora Borealis over Olafsfjordur

We had the wonderful opportunity to couch surf at the lovely home of a couple in their town of Ólafsfjörður. We were amazed that literally right outside their doors in their huge backyard you could walk out and immediately see the northern lights (given the weather played along). 

Luckily for us, the weather definitely played along, and even though we only got a small glimpse of the potential of what the Northern Lights could be, it was still absolutely amazing. This will remain as one of my most fond travel/photography memories. Great company and a great show!
